This is the first announcement of details of the ESFS General Meeting for 2018. It will take place at EUROCON NEMO 2018 on the 19th to the 22nd of July 2018.
Please note that there has been a change of venue for this event, it will now take place in the Pôle Universitaire Cathedral, in the center of Amiens, France.
First:
Nominations for the ESFS Awards are now open.
Closing date for submissions is the 15th of June 2018.
Nominations should be submitted through the webform.
There should only be a single nomination from each country, as selected by their own rules. In the event of multiple nominations from one country, only matching nominations or nominations without a competing name will be accepted. In the event that all ballots from one country contain different names, there will be no nominees accepted for that country.
In the event of the webform malfunctioning, the nominations may be submitted via email to contact_esfs AT esfs DOT info

N.B. Awards before 1990 are not Hall of Fame awards, and are not covered by the ‘once only’ rule.

If you wish to raise any business at the Business Meeting please submit such requests in advance. No motions will be accepted from the floor of the Business Meeting.
Fifth:
In order to help us plan the timing of the Business Meeting, anyone who wishes to bid for a Eurocon, especially the 2020 Eurocon, contact the ESFS board, contact_esfs AT esfs DOT info, by the 15th of June 2018.
Sixth:
At the St. Petersburg Eurocon we passed new rules for the ESFS awards, which were confirmed at the Barcelona Eurocon. The ESFS awards have had a significant changes, so please familiarise yourselves with the current rules before nominating.
